1. Log In to the Exam Platform
Access the Gauge exam platform using the credentials sent to you by TRECCERT.
Log in 2–3 minutes before your scheduled time to ensure a timely start.
Wait for the countdown timer to reach 0:00:00 before clicking the “Start Session” button.
2. Complete Pre-Exam Checks
Browser Setup: If you haven’t already, install the ProctorU browser extension as prompted.
Photo Verification: Upload a clear photo of yourself and your ID for identity verification.
Equipment Check: The system will test your webcam, microphone, and internet connection to ensure they meet requirements.
3. Room and Desk Inspection
Your proctor will ask you to show the 4 walls of your room and your desk setup using your webcam.
Be prepared to use a mirror or your smartphone camera to show your computer monitor and any text visible in the room.
Ensure your workspace is clean and free from unauthorized materials.
4. Proctor Connection
Your proctor will join the session to verify your identity and review the exam rules.
They may take remote control of your mouse and keyboard to ensure no unpermitted programs or files are running.
5. Starting Your Exam
The proctor will unlock your exam once all checks are completed.
Begin your exam when you feel ready, ensuring you follow the instructions provided.
6. Ending Your Exam
Notify the proctor via the chatbox when you complete your exam.
They will oversee the submission process and guide you through logging out of the exam platform and closing all browser tabs.

Webcam and Screen Recording: Your webcam view and screen will be recorded throughout the exam.
